Anita M. (Furtado) Mowatt
Anita was born in Lowell, MA on March 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Margaret (Morris) Schollerman and George Furtado.
For many years, Anita worked as a Assembler for Portex in Wilmington. In her later years, she also worked at the VA Hospital in Bedford.
Anita was a loving and happy woman who enjoyed nothing more then spending time with her family. She enjoyed cruising and taking trips to Florida. She also enjoyed going for long rides, whether it be to go shopping, out to eat, or visit Foxwoods. Anita was a gorgeous woman, inside and out, who always took pride in her appearance, and no matter how sick she was, she always made sure to look her best.
Along with her husband John, Anita is survived and will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Cheryl Briere of Lowell, Carla Trigones of Dracut and Denise Vachon and her husband Raymond of Tyngsboro; four grandchildren, Michelle and her husband Miguel Pacheco, Melissa and her fiancé Corey Texeira, Gary and his wife Holly Trigones and Tabitha and her fiancé Brian Higgins; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, MJ, Bryanna, Samantha, Emmalee and Austin; her "grand-puppy" Misty; siblings, Ethel Kenney and Eleanor Stout, both of Chelmsford, Mary and Henry Clark of Florida and John Furtado of Chester, NH; as well as many other nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by her son, Gary Mowatt; her brother, Ronald Furtado and her son-in-law Ricky Briere.
The family would like to thank Jimmy and Patty Kenney for all of the love and support they have continued to show to the family, especially during this difficult time. As well as her doctor and dear friend of many years, Jessica Wieselquist, whom the family would like to thank for all of the love, care and support her and her staff showed onto Anita and her family over the years.
