LOWELL - William Vincent Teague, Jr., passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017 at his home in Lowell, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. For forty three years, he was the beloved husband of Florence A. (Fecteau) Teague.
He was born in Lowell on May 15, 1937, a son of the late William V. and Lena Alice (Ewell) Teague. William was a lifelong resident of Lowell and served in the U.S. Navy.
Prior to his retirement, he was a supervisor in the construction industry in the Lowell area for many years. Wiliam was always working with his hands right up until his illness. He was a member of the D.L.K.V. and the Polaski Club and among his many interests, he enjoyed watching boxing, fishing, playing pool, antiquing, gardening and reading. Above all, family meant everything to William and he had a great love for his dog, Ringer. He was loved by many, had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others.
Besides his loving wife, Florence, he is survived by his two children, Corinna Hebert and her husband, David of Dracut and William Teague, III of Lowell; also, Brenda and Brian LaPlante, both of Florida, whom he considered his children; his granddaughter, Makenzie Hebert; his grandson, Jacey Hebert; two sisters, Anna Mae Lunderville of Lowell and Joanne Hannigan of Florida; a sister-in-law, Doreen Lomme and Frances Daley; a brother-in-law, William Fecteau and his wife, Annmarie; also many nieces and nephews.
He was a brother of the late Mary Maloney, Dorothy Carr, Shirley Crandall, Alice McDonough and Daniel Teague.
ARRANGEMENTS - At his request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 5pm at St. Rita Church, Lowell, to which family and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Health Foundation, Attn: External Relations, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg 9, Lawrence, MA 01843. Arrangements are in the care of the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St, Lowell.
