Bertram Franklin "Frank" Kennedy, Sr.
Born in Atlanta, Kansas on December 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Bertram O. and Hazel C. (Adams) Kennedy. He was educated in Kansas and Michigan, and went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict until he was honorably discharged. For many years, Frank was a self employed carpenter. He later worked in Construction Management for Murray Hills in Burlington until his retirement.
Frank enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was taking care of his lawn, vegetable gardening, or camping. He also Loved wood working, attending parties with his family, dancing, and spending time with his grandchildren whom he adored.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived and will be deeply missed by his five children, Theresa Batten and her husband John of Dracut, Cynthia Kennedy of Dracut, Christine DeSousa and her husband Sidonio of Summerville, SC, Bertram F. Kennedy, Jr., and his wife Amanda of Williston, VT, Brenda Silva and her husband Fernando of Fremont, NH; 10 grandchildren, Lauren Warner, Erin Batten, Karen Batten, Gabriella DeSousa, Olivia Silva, Anthony Silva, Jessica Kennedy, Nathaniel DeSousa, Mary Silva, and Jared Kennedy; a great grandson, Harrison Warner; his two sisters. Donna (Kennedy) Higley and Sondra (Kennedy) Watz, both of Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on SUNDAY, May 14th from 1 to 5 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on MONDAY, May 15th at 9 a.m. with his Funeral Mass directly following at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Magdalen Church, 93 Lakeview Ave., Tyngsboro. Burial will take place in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Mary Magdalen Building Fund.
