Frank H. Shawcross, Jr.
Born and raised in Lawrence, and a graduate of Greater Lawrence Technical High School, Frank worked for years as a shift supervisor at Frank C. Meyer, Co. He loved baseball and softball and shared that love with his son by coaching his little league teams and by playing in games with his friends and co-workers. Frank enjoyed all things history and constantly expanded his knowledge by reading anything historical or true crime. Many of his nights were spent watching Jeopardy and playing along, or defeating his children in a game of Trivial Pursuit. Another of his passions was collecting and listening to music which included anything and everything from the Beatles and the Bee Gees to Pink and Smashmouth. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend and will be missed.
Frank was the son of the late Frank H. Shawcross, Sr. He is survived by his mother Leda Shawcross of Lawrence; His three children Julianne Frediani and her husband Christopher of Methuen, Christine Shawcross of Lawrence, and Steven Shawcross of Lawrence; His sister Linda Chuairy and her husband Gabriel and his niece Justine of Salem, NH; His brother Paul Shawcross and his wife Maribel of Lawrence and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Frank’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater New England Chapter, 101A First Ave. Waltham, MA 02451.
