DRACUT, MA - Theresa E. (Garneau) Rousseau, 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Lucien H. Rousseau, with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage. 

Born in Lowell on February 16, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Medric and Eliza (Maheu) Garneau. Theresa devoted her career to raising and caring for her children. Her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her family, particularly her grandchildren.

In her spare time she enjoyed going antiquing all over New England from Massachusetts to New Hampshire, and Vermont. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Sandy Valloise and her partner Kelly Murray of Wilmington, MA, Sharon Haggerty and her husband Jim of Londonderry, NH, and David Rousseau and his fiancee Shirley Binette of Derry, NH; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; three siblings, Leo Garneau of Lowell, Jeanne Gagne of Dracut, and Julie Blanchette of Lowell; as well as several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Sugar. 

She was predeceased by her siblings, Flossie Grondine, Lucien Garneau, Medric Garneau, and Margaret Desrosiers.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 2 to 6 p.m. on SUNDAY, March 26th at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on MONDAY, March 27th at 9 a.m. with her Funeral Mass directly following at 10 a.m. in Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Church, Dracut. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chelmsford. Per Theresa's wishes, please omit flowers.
