Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)
(Editor's Note: the following information was supplied by the Town of Dracut.)
The Dracut Board of Health will be holding a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) event this spring for residents to safely dispose of their hazardous household products. The event will be held at the Department of Public Works (DPW) Dillon Center at 833 Hildreth Street on Saturday, April 29, 2017 between the hours of 8am and 12 noon.
The improper disposal of HHW can lead to water and air pollution, can cause health and safety problems for personnel such a firefighters, and can add unnecessay municipal costs.
This is a highly regulated and expensive service for the Town, so a user fee is charged to help defray some of the cost. Additional information about the event, along with a list of acceptable and unacceptable materials, is available by contacting the Board of Health at 978-453-8162.
Thank you for your assistance in making Dracut a great place to live.
