Lorraine (Langlais) LaPlante
Born in Lowell on March 16, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Cecile (Raymond) Langlais. Upon graduating from Dracut High School, she went on to attend Hairdressing School. Lorraine spent the majority of her career working as a customer service representative for Shawmut Bank.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards. Above all, her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her friends and family, particularly her grandchildren whom she adored.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her two children, Michelle McCarthy and her husband Bob of Hudson, NH; and Joseph LaPlante and his wife Jennifer of Manchester, NH; three grandchildren, Matthew McCarthy and Ella McCarthy of Hudson, NH, and Daelene LaPlante of Dracut; and a step-grandson, William Dionne of Manchester, NH; as well as two dear friends, Helen Pearce of Albuquerque, NM, and Sophie Mahaleris of Lowell.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a close friend, Ruth Kosiavelon.
ARRANGEMENTS: At Lorraine's request, calling hours have been omitted. Her Funeral Mass will take place SATURDAY, March 18th at 11:30 a.m. in St. Rita's Church, Lowell. Those who wish to attend may meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately.
