Obituary: Charlotte (Dupont) (Nicholaou) Bornholdt, 89

Charlotte (Dupont) (Nicholaou) Bornholdt

LOWELL—Charlotte R. (Dupont) (Nicholaou) Bornholdt, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017, with her loving family by her side after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Lowell, but lived many years in Dracut, the daughter of the late Raymond Dupont and Antoinette (Lanoue) Dupont. 

Charlotte was a hairdresser in her earlier years and retired from Digital Equipment Corporation as a Q.C. inspector.

She was an avid Bingo player as well as a bowler. Her most cherished times were those spent with her family, who meant everything to her.

She is survived by her five children, Sharron Small of Dracut, Susan McGrath of Methuen, Gary Nicholaou and his companion Caron Renik of Windham, NH, David Nicholaou of Lowell, and Lisa McGrath and her husband Michael of Methuen; her daughter-in-law Donna Nicholaou of Salem, NH; four grandchildren, Kimberly Patch and her husband Jonathan of Dracut, and Shelby, Taylor and Kyle Nicholaou all of Salem, NH; a great-granddaughter, Emma Patch of Dracut; a brother and sister-in-law, Conrad and Jacqueline Dupont of Tewksbury; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Christine Nicholaou of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband James Bornholdt, her son Daniel Nicholaou, her brother and sister-in-law Roger and Lorraine Dupont, her son-in-law Brian Small, and her long-time loving companion Joseph Jesus.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, March 8th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. on THURSDAY, March 9th. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
