With Warmer Weather, Thieves Come Out Of Hibernation

Feb 26, 2017 04:46AM ● Published by Bill Gilman

Earlier this week, a Dracut resident named Amy, who posts on Facebook under the name Ammz Marie, posted a surveillance video from her home to the page Real Dracut Forum. According to Amy, the video shows a group of young people walking past her home on Dean Avenue, before some of them run down her driveway.
According to Amy, the young people tried to steal some bikes from her property. However, at that moment, her children were talking the trash out and spotted the would-be thieves, who ran off.
The video shows the young people running into the yard and then running away a short time later.
Amy said she posted the video for the two reasons. She is hoping the parents of the would-be thieves might recognize their children but she also wanted to warn other residents to be very careful in protecting their belongings.
The video can be seen below.
