Obituary: Irene R. (Champoux) Hall, 70

DRACUT, MA - Irene R. (Champoux) Hall, 70, died peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John Hall, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Lowell on December 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rita (Morgan) Champoux. Prior to her retirement, Irene worked in the kitchen at various local Healthcare facilities including Christian Hill Nursing Home, Lowell General Hospital, and the Bedford VA. She was nicknamed the "Christmas Tree Lady" by her co-workers at Lowell General Hospital for the way she used to dress up and entertain the patients during the holidays. 

In her spare time, Irene volunteered at the Snack Shack during Dracut Pop Warner football games. She enjoyed arts and crafts, as well as using her computer and browsing Facebook. Above all, her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her family, particularly her grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, John Hall and his wife Heidi, Robert Hall and his wife Alice, and Ann Hall and her companion Harry Schaefer, all of Dracut; Eight grandchildren, Nichole Duffany, Amanda Timbrell and husband Matthew, John, Kendra, Haley, Jamie, Derrek, and Kevin Hall, and April Schaefer; three great grandchildren, Cody, Alexis, and Cole Janowicz; and her soon-to-be fourth great grandchild, Gabryella Vega, due in April; and four siblings, Linda Agrella, Henry, Julie, and John Champoux; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Tammy Roucher and Debra Taylor. 

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, February 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home during calling hours at 7:30 p.m. Committal will be held privately.
