Bessie (Screpetis) Natsios
Born in Dracut on June 16, 1936, Bessie was a daughter of the late Arthur and Evangeline (Floros) Screpetis, both of Greece. After graduating from Dracut High School, she attended St. Joseph Hospital's School of Nursing where she became licensed as a Registered Nurse. Bessie went on to work as an RN at St. Joseph Hospital and then for the Dracut public school system where she became Head Nurse while at Campbell Elementary School.
Bessie's hobbies included cake decorating and playing Bingo. She enjoyed traveling to Vegas and to Foxwoods with her husband to try their luck at slots. Most of all, Bessie loved playing games and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Arthur Natsios and his wife Lisa of Dracut, Charles and his wife Sharyl of Dracut, Maria and her husband John of Dracut; 11 grandchildren, James, Elizabeth, Peter, Nicholas, Jessica, Michael, Alexander, Nicole, Sarah, John, and Patrick; 6 great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Anthony, Evelyn, Sean, Kyle, and Aiden; siblings, Georgia Xiggores of Dracut and Penelope Liacopulos and her husband James of Tyngsboro; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 10 a.m. in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME. Burial will take place in the spring at Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. For directions, or to leave an online condolence, story, or message, please find us on Facebook under "Dracut Funeral Home.”
