Lily G. (Eklund) Kinghorn
Born in Saugus, MA on April 5, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Margaret and Karl Eklund. Lily attended Dracut Public Schools. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, as well as a member of St. Pauls UMC where she served on several committees. In the later years she attended Pawtucket Congregational Church. Lily was also a life member of the Dracut Historical Society, Dracut Seniors, and AARP.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her children, Donald Kinghorn Jr. and his wife Ruth of Mason, NH, Janet Kuenzler and her husband Charles of Dracut, MA, Susan Caron of Nashua, NH, and David Kinghorn and his wife Christine of Nashua, NH; and 8 Grandchildren; as well as 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Raymond and George Eklund, Henrieta Sarakos, and Margaret Delisle.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on MONDAY, February 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral service will be held TUESDAY, February 14th at 11 a.m. in Christ Church United, Dracut. Those who wish to attend may meet directly at the church. Burial will take place in the spring.
