Welcome to our new column: Meet the Staff! Each month, we will feature a different staff member.  Make sure to say hello to them whenever you see them.

This month, we would like you to meet YoungOak Lim, our newest Adult Page. YoungOak grew up in South Korea and moved to the United States in 1990. She had taken courses in English while in South Korea. Once in the U.S., she continued to learn the language through books, movies, and good friends.

Libraries have always been YoungOak's sanctuaries and she has sought them out wherever she's gone. Visiting the world through books, she would say to herself, "Where am I going to go today?"

Working at a library has been her dream job. She wants to tell everyone, "Here's a good book. You can go to the places you dream about." She also wants to share that books and libraries are important tools for learning. They allow us to connect with each other mo matter where we are.

We are thrilled that YoungOak is here ... and we are sure that you will be too. Make sure to say hello the next time that you see her at the Circulation Desk!
