Obituary: David W. Therrien, 70

David W. Therrien


 PELHAM, NH - David W. Therrien, 70, died peacefully at his home Saturday, January 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Mayott) Therrien, with whom he would have celebrated his 51st wedding anniversary on February 27th, 2017.

Born in Lowell on May 29, 1946, he was a son of the late Alfred and Ida (Vieria) Therrien. David was a graduate of Lowell High School. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a supervisor for Stop and Shop for over 30 years.

In his spare time, David enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and visiting the beach. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his beloved  wife Diane, David is survived and will be deeply missed by his treasured daughters, Dawn M. (Therrien) Johnson of Derry, NH, Debra Therrien of Pelham, NH, and Deidre (Therrien) Harrington and her husband James of Billerica; his brother, Ronald Therrien and his wife Peggy of Dracut; his sister, Joyce Letourneau and her companion Thomas Donahue of Nashua, NH; his two sisters-in-law, Kathy Santry of Chelmsford, and Cheryl Robblee and her husband David of North Chelmsford; two prescious grandchildren, Kelsea N. Giroux and her husband Ryan of Derry, NH, and Jameson A. Harrington of Billerica; his great-granddaughter, Charlotte R. Giroux;  as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his much loved fur babies, Chuck and Chloe.

David is predeceased by his cherished grandson, Craig P. Johnson and his two sisters, Beverly Sullivan and Lorraine Coimbra.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on WEDNESDAY, February 1st from 3 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. His funeral service will be held from the funeral home on THURSDAY, February 2nd at 9 a.m. with his Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, Pelham, NH. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to the Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854 or Circle Home Health & Hospice Care, 47 Rogers St #201, Lowell, MA 01852, to whom the family is deeply grateful for their compassion and exemplary care.
