Obituary: Irene F. (LaBranche) Lane, 72

Born in Lowell on October 31, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Thelma (Keyes) LaBranche. Irene was a graduate of Dracut High School, and then went on to attend the Nursing Program at Tewksbury State Hospital. For over 30 years, she worked as an LPN at Lowell General Hospital. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Merrimack Urology.
In her spare time, Irene enjoyed knitting, reading, and browsing Facebook.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Richard J. Lane II of Hudson, NH, Michael Lane and his wife Jill of Dracut; and Diane DiPoto of Pittsfield, NH; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Mike, and Alexis Lane, and Andrew, Matthew, and Dylan DiPoto; and two siblings, Gloria Fulgoni and her husband Richard "Red" of Nashua, and George LaBranche and his wife Kathy of Hooksett, NH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on MONDAY, January 30th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., Dracut. Her funeral service will be held inside the funeral home on TUESDAY, January 31st at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lowell Cemetery.
