Middies, Gryphons Roundup: GLT Boys Romp, Callery's Heroics Net Tie For Dracut

Sophomore Jake Callery was a one-skater wrecking crew, scoring all for goals for the Middies in a tie with Wayland. Callery's fourth goal tied the game with just eight seconds left in the third period, after the Middies had pulled their goalie for the extra skater.
Adam Berger assisted on each of Callery's goals. Nate Lapointe and Kyle McManus had two assists each.
Lowell 4, Dracut 2
Dracut played Lowell evenly throughout the game before the Raiders scored the game-winnng goal with just over a minute to play in the third period.
Nate Lapointe and Alex Bogohossian had the goals for the Middies.
Greater Lowell 92, Innovation 74
The Gryphons improved to 8-1 on the season with an 18-point win.
Paul Choate poured in 20 points in the first half, en route to a 24-point performance. He also had eight rebounds and five steals.
Ian Kirumira dominated the paint, with 22 rebounds to go with eight points.. Ricky Byron chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Luis Huertas had 17 points and Caleb Scott added 12 for Greater Lowell.
Greater Lowell 56, Notre Dame 47
Fatta Krah had 10 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Greater Lowell (5-2).
Michaela Kelly had a strong all-around game, with eight points, seven assists and six steals. Kylie Bouley added nine points and Jailene Medina chipped in with eight for the Gryphons.
Central Catholic 51, Dracut 27
Julia Otoski had six points to lead Dracut against a powerful Central Catholic squad. The Middies trailed just 13-11 after one quarter before Central Catholic pulled away.
Lowell Catholic 57, Greater Lowell 46
Araceli Lopez had 16 points to lead the Gryphons in defeat. Fatta Krah added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Michaela Kelly chipped in with nine points and five assists.
North Andover 50, Dracut 20
Melissa Iannuzzo had 10 points and eight rebounds to lead Dracut in defeat. Freshman guard Ashliegh Cox chipped in with six points and three rebounds.

The Middies were swept in a quad meet at Quabbin's Midland Duals. However, AJ Desmarais turned in an exceptional performance with four pinfall victories at 195 pounds.
Zack Lakmany (132, 1 pin) and Devin Lambert (138, 2 pins) had three wins each on the day.
Greater Lowell Tech at the Woburn Invitational
Anthony Blatus went 3-0, with two pins, to win the 160-pound class at the Woburn Invitational for the Gryphons.
Ron Rossetti placed second at 120, and Don Wilson came in third at 182 for Greater Lowell, which placed ninth as a team with 92 points.
