Jacqueline P. (Laferriere) Gauthier
DRACUT - Jacqueline P. (Laferriere) Gauthier, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert A. Gauthier who passed away in 1985.
She was born in Lowell on March 9, 1938, a daughter of the late Lionel and Lillian (Therieault) Laferriere. Jacqueline resided in Dracut and was formerly a lifelong resident of Lowell where she was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d'Arc Parish and St. Rita Parish.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an accounts receivables representative for fifteen years at Wang Labs in Lowell where she worked in other capacities for many years.
Jacqueline was best known for being a caregiver who had the biggest heart. She was always there to help anyone at anytime and would always put others before herself. Above all, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of her life.
She is survived by her children, Denise Abbott and her husband Stephen of Methuen and Steven Gauthier and his wife Laurie of Chicopee; her longtime companion, Milton Twombly of Haverhill; four grandchildren, Craig Chartier of Pelham, Erica Chartier of Lowell, Keri McGowan and her husband Robert of Derry, NH and Shannan Morrissette of W. Springfield; six great grandchildren, Jenna and Nyzeah Chartier, Julia McGowan, Isabella Chartier, Aidan Rivera and Robert McGowan; three sisters, Claudette Silva and Lorraine Mellen, both of Dracut and Jeannine Dusombre of Melrose; a brother, Maurice Laferriere of NJ; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Laferriere and Constance Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Rita Conference, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell, MA 01854.
