Eleanor A. (Marshall) Roark obituary
Born in Lowell on November 7, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Leo F. and Gladys (Handley) Marshall. Eleanor graduated from Dracut High School in 1944 as the Salutatorian of her class.
Eleanor was a proud member of the Dracut community where she worked as a bank teller and raised her family. She was an active member of the Dracut American Legion Auxiliary Post 315 for 47 years, in which she held various offices.
Eleanor is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughters and caregivers, Marcia A. Brasil and her husband Afonso, and Cynthia M. Sutherland and her husband Walter of Pelham, NH. Also, she leaves a son, Michael L. Roark and his wife Donna (Hamel) of Dracut. Eleanor loved her five grandchildren, Jessica A. Brasil and her wife Kate Dwyer of Somerville, MA, and Brian, Kristopher, and Steven Roark of Dracut. She also leaves two sister-in-laws, Mim Provencher and Peggy Melanson of Dracut, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a dear friend, Mary Adie.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on MONDAY, November 14th from 1 to 2 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut. Her funeral service will take place directly following calling hours in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Dracut.
