Robert Suprenant Obituary
He was born in Lowell on June 3, 1933, a son of the late Leo and Alice (Dumont) Surprenant. Bob was a resident of Dracut for over twenty three years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a cook at Solomon Mental Health Center in Lowell for many years.
Earlier in his life, he was a member of the Pass Time Club for many years. Bob had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He loved to entertain, sing, dance, scratch tickets, play golf, take trips to the beach and was an avid fan of all the New England sports teams. Above all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Mary, he is survived by his four children, Christopher Suprenant and his wife, Katherine of Ashburnham, Robert Suprenant, Dolores and Donna; two sisters and four brothers, Lorraine Grenon of Dracut, Raymond Surprenat and his wife Marge of Ft. Pierce, FL, Richard Surprenant and his companion Janice Lindbloom of Clinton, Leonard Surprenant and his wife Dorothy of Lowell, Rita Begley and her husband Lawrence of Littleton and Paul Surprenant of Lowell; a sister-in-law Ann M. (Page) Surprenant, of Dracut: five grandchildren, Sarah McQuaid, Mason, Emily, Adaline and Kaley Suprenant; also many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Doreen Marie McQuaid and Kenneth Surprenant, brother of the late Leo and Ronald Surprenant, and brother-in-law of the late Gail Surprenant and Albert Richard "Sunshine" Grenon.
ARRANGEMENTS - Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Bob on Tuesday, November 1 from 3 to 7pm at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell. Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
