Middies, Gryphons Roundup: GLT Falls Just Short Of Tournament, DHS Volleyball Splits

Dracut 3, Groton-Dunstable 0

Erin McMeniman played a dominant match, leading the Middies past the Crusaders in straight sets.

McMelman had 10 kills, 13 service points, 4 aces, and 12 digs in the victory. Adriana Martinez added 7 kills and 5 blocks. Jenna Frasier chipped in with with 6 kills and 4 blocks.

Methuen 3, Dracut 0

Things did not go as well for Dracut against Methuen, as the Middies dropped a 3-0 decision. Set scores were 25-19, 25-9, 25-17.

Erin McMeniman led Dracut with 12 kills and 10 digs. Jenna Frasier had another strong match with 5 kills and 4 blocks. Logan McElhinney chipped in with 10 service points.


Weston 21, Greater Lowell Tech 6

Dracut 26, Belmont 14

Dracut improved to 4-4 on the season. Dracut will host Greater Lowell Tech, Friday night at 7 p.m.


St. Mary's 6, Greater Lowell 1

Macy Lapan had the lone goal for Greater Lowell (2-14-1) in a loss to a strong St. Mary's team.

Victoria Rosado had the assist on the goal. Hallie Bosia, Alicia O'Keefe, Leah Miller, Shayla Inglis, Michaela Marcoux, Emily Medina and Rikiah Seid played well in the loss.


Billerica 1, Dracut 0

Dracut gave Billerica all it could handle before falling in an MVC game.

St. Mary's 2, Greater Lowell 1

Greater Lowell was one minute away from a berth in the State Tournament when it all went away. St. Mary's scored in the final minute, pulling out a 2-1 win and leaving the Gryphons (7-8-3( just one point shy of the post-season.
