Donald S. Halko obituary
Donald was born in Salem, MA on October 23, 1934, a son of the late Bernice "Buddy" (Stakeliunas) and Stephen Halko. He was educated in Dracut and a graduate of Dracut High School. Donald Proudly served his country as a Corporal in the US Marines during the Korean War.
For most of his life, Don worked as a mason. In his younger years, he worked at Fort Devens but was also a small business owner in Dracut for many years.
Donald was a sports fanatic and loved all of the New England sports teams. He was also a good humored and very smart man who knew something about everything. Don's most precious time was spent with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Donald is survived by two daughters Deborah Halko of Dracut and Sandra Pappas of Windham, NH; four sons, Raymond Halko and his wife Pauline, Stephen Halko and his wife Lyn and Donald Halko all of Dracut, and Jeffrey Halko and his wife Stephanie of Londonderry, NH; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Sylvia Lebourdais.
