Wicked Cheesy

There was more on the line than two points in the standings when Dracut High travelled to Tewksbury, Monday, to take on the Redmen.
Not only was is "Senior Day" for Tewksbury, it was the annual "Game for a Cure." a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research in the name of Meghan McCarthy, a popular multi-sport athlete at Tewksbury High, who succumbed to cancer in 2010.
As for the game itself, it ended in a 2-2 tie.

Sarah Wilson and Julia Otoski had the goals for Dracut. Nicole Liggiero and Ryan Quinn scored for Tewksbury.

But the real star of the game was Middies' sophomore goalie Meghan MacKay, who was outstanding in net with 14 saves.

Editor Bill Gilman was on hand and compiled this photo gallery.
