Robert L. Gagnon Jr. obituary
He was born in Lowell, MA on July 31, 1956, to the late Claire (Dutile) Gagnon and Robert L. Gagnon Sr. After he graduated from Austin Preparatory High School in Reading, MA, he then attended the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. He was a longtime employee of over 20 years at Soucy Industries working as a Construction Foreman and Supervisor. This was a profession he took great joy and pride in. So much so that he earned the reputation as the "go-to man" because of his vast knowledge and experience.
After purchasing the family camp on Rock Pond, Bob began building his family a home. It was there that he loved to spend his time most. He would often be found working in the yard, raking out the beach, or fishing and swimming with his children and grandchildren. Bob would be most recognized for his bright blue eyes, amusing jokes, and his true kindness to everyone. Closest to his heart were his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be missed deeply by all.
Along with his loving wife, Brenda, Robert is survived by his five children, Steven Gagnon and his wife Dannielle of Windham, NH, Jennifer Gagnon of Derry, NH, Sarah Gagnon, David Gagnon, and Jacob Gagnon, all of Windham, NH; grandchildren, Steven, Nathan, William, and Jailynn; his siblings, Denise Trombly and her husband Phil of Nashua, NH, Susanne Harris and her husband George of Cambridge, Michael Gagnon and his fiance Missy Costello of Dracut, Michelle Cockrell of Tyngsboro, and Anne-Marie Bisson and Brian Sousa of Tyngsboro; and his mother-in-law, Rita Marion of Dracut; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on TUESDAY, October 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut. His Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, at St. Francis Church, Dracut.
