Sandra B. (Urbanski) Salkins obituary

Chelmsford, MA- Sandra B. (Urbanski) Salkins, 76, died peacefully, Monday, October 17, 2016, at Lowell General Hospital, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Burton E. Salkins Jr., until his passing in 2013.

Born in Danvers, MA on September 9, 1940, Sandra was a daughter of the late Catherine (Halupowski) Hamilton and Walter Urbanski. She was a 1958 graduate of Holten High School in Danvers, MA.

Sandra devoted her career to raising and caring for the family she built with her husband, Burton. She will always be remembered by all those that knew her for her selfless and generous nature. She was a doting grandmother, and loved nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.

In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed attending yard and garage sales, particularly when she was able to find a new piece of glassware to add to her collection. She also liked taking trips to Foxwoods where she always hoped to win big.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her three children, Michael Salkins of Dracut, Susan A. Murray and her husband Joseph of Tyngsboro, and Janet M. Stewart and her husband Elliott of Lynnfield; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, John, Megan, Tavin, Vance, and Grace; and three siblings, Marsha Walor and her husband Walter of FL; Peter Urbanski and his wife Nancy of ME; and Bruce Hamilton of Danvers. She was also a sister to the late Barry Urbanski of Danvers.
