Dracut Police are asking for the public's help, as they search for the man who they say robbed the Wendy's restaurant on Bridge Street at gunpoint Tuesday night.

According to Police, the robbery took place around 8:10 p.m. The suspect, dressed in a black Bruins' hoodie and black pants and carrying a handgun, allegedly jumped over the counter and grabbed cash from each of the registers before fleeing the restaurant.

Witnesses told officers the suspect, described as a black male, around 6 feet 3 inches tall, ran down Bridge Street in the direction of Lowell, according to a report published on Lowellsun.com. Witnesses say he was wearing a bandana and ski mask to hide his face.

According to the report, Police are investigating the possibility the robbery is connected to the Oct. 10 robbery of the Walgreen's on Bridge Street in Lowell.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Dracut Police Department at 978-957-2123.
