Suzanne D. "Suzy" (Mathues) Hudzik obituary

OCALA, FL -- Suzanne D. "Suzy" (Mathues) Hudzik, 92, a longtime resident of Dracut, died peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Hudzik, with whom she shared many loving years of marriage with until his passing in 2001.

Born in Brussels, Belgium on April 14, 2016, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Henrietta (Kearning) Mathues. Prior to her retirement, she owned and operated the former Lowell Food Center located on Bridge Street for 18 years, alongside her husband, Walter.

Family was most important to Suzy; her most cherished memories were spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Melanie Haber of Ocala, FL; four grandchildren, Christian, Joshua, Jillian, and Jasmine Monteiro; seven great-grandchildren, Krystian and Nico Monteiro, Marley, Mason, Mikhayla and Eli Morrison, and Haydn Enciu; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Suzy was predeceased by her son, Walter M. Hudzik; a grandson, Jonathan Monteiro, and a sister, Natalie Leclerq.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on SATURDAY, October 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with her Funeral Mass directly following at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Polish Church, Lowell.
