Theresa (DiTommaso) Duprey, 70, died peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Gilbert A. Duprey, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Boston on October 28, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Donato and Philomena (Ciardi) DiTommaso. Prior to her retirement, Theresa worked as a Mechanical Inspector for over 25 years. 

Theresa will always be remembered for the delicious meals she made over the years. She also had a knack for knitting, which she greatly enjoyed in her spare time, in addition to gardening in the spring and fall, and playing Bingo. Above all, her most cherished time was spent making memories with her family, particularly when she and her husband Gilbert watched Country Western films and various game shows together. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived and will be deeply missed by her seven children, Cheryl Fauvel and her husband James of Dracut, Lisa Toupin and her husband Michael of Pelham, NH,Brenda Duprey of Dracut, Cynthia Duprey of Billerica, Karen Vitale and her husband Anthony III of Florida, Wayne Duprey of Dracut, and Michael Duprey and his wife Kasey of Salem, NH; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; a sister, Caroline Sousa of Florida; a brother, Angelo DiTommaso of Florida; and nine sisters and brothers in law; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marie DiTommaso.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on THURSDAY, October 13th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home at 9 a.m. on FRIDAY, October 14th, with her Funeral Mass directly following at 10 a.m. in St. Marguerite D'Youville Parish, Dracut.
