Middies, Gryphons Roundup: Dracut Volleyball Drops Pair, Greater Lowell Soccer Falls In Heartbreaker

Dracut High won the opening game before falling to Waconah 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Angela D'Auteuil had a strong match for Drcaut, with 13 assists and 9 digs. Kasey Ross added 5 kills and 3 blocks. Adriana Martinez contributed 7 kills, 7 service points and 4 blocks.

North Andover 3, Dracut 0

Meghan Cox had 16 digs and 5 service points for Dracut (1-5) but the Middies couldn't keep up with North Andover.

Game scores were 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Erin McMeniman had 4 kills and 10 digs, Nicole Morin added 4 kills.

Chelsea 3, Greater Lowell 0

Greater Lowell dropped to 0-6 on the season, getting blanked by Chelsea.

Alicia O'Keefe, Shayla Inglis and Hallie Bosia had strong efforts in a losing cause for GreaterLowell.

Greater Lowell 3, PMA 0

Rachel Rinaldi had nine kills and claimed 9 Rhiannon Peden added 7 to lead Greater Lowell to victory. 

Game scores were 25-20, 25-19, 26-24.

Greater Lawrence 1, Greater Lowell 0

In a CAC showdown, Greater Lowell battled hard before falling to Greater Lawrence, 1-0.

The Gryphons dropped to 3-2-1 on the season.  Bradley Bostwic had a strong game in defeat.  Kyle Godek and Jimmy Raposo also played well for the Gryphons.

Viviana Guerrero  had the lone goal for Greater Lowell, with the assist going to her sister, Andrea Guerrero.

Hallie Bosia, Victoria Rosado and Macy Lapan also played strong games in defeat for Greater Lowell (0-7).
