Obituary: Domenic DiMambro, 87

 BILLERICA -- Domenic DiMambro, age 87, husband of the late Helen DiMambro and Marie DiMambro, died Monday, at the Palm Center in Chelmsford.

He was born in Somerville, July 29, 1929, a son of the late Domenic and Mary (Ashman) DiMambro and lived in Medford before moving to Billerica 57 years ago.

Mr. DiMambro proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and was a Co-founder and Past Commander of the V.F.W. Solomon Post #8819. He was a member of Local #379 and #49 and was a truck driver for 50 years having worked for Keith Fulton & Sons in Cambridge and later worked for Interstate Container.

He is survived by his sons, Dominic DiMambro of Billerica, Daniel DiMambro of Hollis, NH, and George DiMambro of Methuen; his daughters, Yvonne Ouellette of Lowell, Mary Thambush of Methuen, Hope Morales of FL and Linda Layte of Dracut; his brothers, George DiMambro of Woburn and Paul Franki of Puerto Rico; his sisters, Jean Mollohan of CA and Julia Cronin of Chelmsford. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. DiMambro was the father of the late Donna DeSimone.

DiMAMBRO -- Of Billerica, Sept. 19, Domenic DiMambro. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
