District Attorney Marian Ryan Announces Grand Jury Indictments

WOBURN – These indictments were handed down between August 2 and August 30, 2016. Defendants are listed by town where alleged offenses occurred. Individuals without hometowns listed do not have a last known address available. These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Tewksbury
  • Juan Mercado, 26, of Lowell, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, subsequent offense, and distribution of a Class B substance, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Julie Kunkel.
Belmont
  • Hamid Ardaneh, 38, of Belmont, was charged with rape (3 counts), strangulation (2 counts), and assault and battery (3 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Ceara Mahoney.
Billerica
  • Darian Almonte, 19, of Melrose, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Maren Schrader.
Cambridge
  • Dwayne Cassama, 23, of Cambridge, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, subsequent offense, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, subsequent offense, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, carrying a loaded firearm, subsequent offense, carrying a firearm, subsequent offense, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of ammunition (2 counts), and removal of a serial number on a firearm. The Assistant District Attorney is Ceara Mahoney.
  • Joseph Cassidy, 46, of Cambridge, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, distribution of a Class A substance, possession of a Class B substance (2 counts), possession of a Class C substance (2 counts), and trafficking over 18 grams of cocaine. The Assistant District Attorney is Maren Schrader.
  • Matthew Temple, 35, of Durham, New Hampshire, was charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery on a police officer to disarm. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.
Chelmsford
  • Jose DeJesus, 32, of Chelmsford, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and failure to register as a sex offender, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Tokufumi Noda.
  • George Melendez, 50, of Lowell, was charged with unarmed robbery. The Assistant District Attorney is Jason Chandler.
Everett
  • Roger Reddick, 34, of Cambridge, was charged with unarmed robbery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of property damage. The Assistant District Attorney is Craig Estes.
  • Oscar Torres-Lugo, 25, of Everett, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of heroin and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The Assistant District Attorney is Craig Estes.
  • Timothy Walsh, 37, of Everett, was charged with mayhem, armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, strangulation causing serious bodily injury, and assault and battery. The Assistant District Attorney is Carrie Spiros.
Framingham
  • Raonie DeAndrade, 22, of Framingham, was charged with rape. The Assistant District Attorney is Regina Krumholz.
  • Rickie Metz, 30, was charged with trafficking over 36 grams of cocaine and distribution of a Class B substance. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan.
Lowell
  • Johnny Cooper, 51, of Lowell, was charged with distribution of cocaine, subsequent offense, and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. The Assistant District Attorney is Daniel Harren.
  • Richard Ross, 33, of Nashua, New Hampshire, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, trafficking over 36 grams of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methylphenidate, possession with intent to distribute clonazepam, possession with intent to distribute alprazolam, possession with intent distribute marijuana, possession of a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number in the commission of a felony. The Assistant District Attorney is Jason Chandler.
  • Michael Scionti, 45, of Lowell, was charged with unarmed robbery (2 counts), stealing by confining, and being a habitual offender (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Emily Jackson.
  • Andrew Simmons, 24, of Lowell, was charged with armed robbery and larceny over $250. The Assistant District Attorney is Clarence Brown.
  • Dallas Williams, 36, of Lowell, was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony, larceny from a building, and being a common and notorious thief. The Assistant District Attorney is Daniel Harren.
Malden
  • Steven MacDonald, 46, of Malden, was charged with rape (2 counts), indecent assault and battery on a disabled person (2 counts), and assault with intent to rape. The Assistant District Attorney is Courtney Linnehan.
Marlborough
  • John Handy, 50, of Marlborough, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan.
  • Andrew Josefek, 40, of Framingham, charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a shotgun without a license, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a large capacity firearm, possession of a large capacity magazine, possession of ammunition, and improper storage of a shotgun. The Assistant District Attorney is Kristen Noto.
Medford
  • Eric Gullage, 42, of Somerville, was charged with distribution of Oxycodone, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Radu Brestyan.
  • Deon Hunt, 35, of Boston, was charged with armed robbery. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.
  • James Laureus, 37, of Everett, was charged with trafficking over 36 grams of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone, subsequent offense, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, subsequent offense, and distribution of Oxycodone, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Radu Brestyan.
Melrose
  • John Maldonado, 25, of Boston, was charged with kidnapping, aggravated burglary, assault and battery on a household or family member (2 counts), breaking and entering, stalking, possession of burglarious tools, witness intimidation (4 counts), violating a restraining order (6 counts), and threatening to commit a crime (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Carrie Spiros.
Reading
  • Duane Collins, 57, of Lynn, 57, of Lynn, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of cocaine, distribution of a Class B substance, subsequent offense, and violating the drug laws near a school/park. The Assistant District Attorney is Julie Kunkel.
Somerville
  • Teddy Browar-Jarus, 32, of Cambridge, was charged with secretly videotaping a person in a state of nudity (26 counts) and willful interception of oral communication (11 counts) and attempting to commit a crime. The Assistant District Attorney is Kristen Noto.
  • Dennis Coston, 31, of Boston, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance (2 counts), possession with intent to distribute a Class E substance, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of ammunition without a license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, and being an armed career criminal. The Assistant District Attorney is John Dawley.
  • Wilfredo Cruz, 47, of Boston, was charged with receiving stolen property over $250, larceny under $250 (2 counts), resisting arrest, and being a habitual criminal. The Assistant District Attorney is John Dawley.
  • Claudine Dyer, 32, of Woburn, was charged with larceny from a building. The Assistant District Attorney is Radu Brestyan.
  • David Goggin, 50, of Somerville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, subsequent offense, distribution of a Class A substance, subsequent offense, distribution of a Class B substance, subsequent offense, conspiracy to violate the drug law, and being a habitual criminal (4 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.
  • Janet Jefferson, 57, of Somerville, was charged with distribution of a Class A substance and conspiracy to violate the drug laws. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.
  • Joseph Flynn, 24, was charged with trafficking over 36 grams of a Class A substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, subsequent offense, and possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Maren Schrader.
  • Nazareth Perkins, 46, of Boston, was charged with possession of Oxycodone, larceny over $250 (2 counts), being a common and notorious thief, and being a habitual offender. The Assistant District Attorney is Tokufumi Noda.
Wakefield
  • Scott Fleurantin, 35, of Woburn, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, subsequent offense, and distribution of a Class B substance, subsequent offense. The Assistant District Attorney is Julie Kunkel.
Waltham
  • William Childs, 33, of Waltham, was charged with breaking and entering in the daytime to commit a felony and larceny over $250. The Assistant District Attorney is Jessica Noble.
  • Franklin Montenegro, 34, of Waltham, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of heroin, trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to traffic heroin, and conspiracy violate the Controlled Substances Act. The Assistant District Attorney is Craig Estes.
  • Juan Orellana, 51, of Waltham, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni.
  • Alvaro Pacheco-Ramirez, 31, of Waltham, was charged with trafficking over 18 grams of heroin, trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to traffic heroin, and conspiracy violate the Controlled Substances Act. The Assistant District Attorney is Craig Estes.
Wayland
  • Raphael Ocasio, 37, of Framingham, was charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime to commit a felony and malicious destruction of property. The Assistant District Attorney is Terence Kiernan.
  • David Rodriguez, 50, of Southborough, was charged with larceny over $250 and false entry into corporate books. The Assistant District Attorney is Doug Nagengast.
Wilmington
  • Marjorie Taylor, 29, of Wilmington, was charged with uttering a false prescription for a controlled substance (35 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Graham Van Epps.
Woburn
  • Donald Knight, 47, of Woburn, was charged with assault and battery on a household or family member, strangulation, and violating a restraining order (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Carrie Spiros.
